Aim
To provide clinicians with a clear, structured foundation in implant dentistry — covering the principles that underpin every successful case, from initial assessment through to restoration and long-term maintenance.

Objectives
By the end of this session, delegates should be able to:
• Understand the biology of osseointegration and the factors that influence implant success or failure
• Recognise the key principles of case selection and patient assessment, including who is and isn't a suitable candidate
• Identify the core components of an implant system and how they work together
• Follow the implant treatment journey from planning through to restoration and maintenance
• Recognise common pitfalls and understand how sound fundamentals help avoid them
• Appreciate where implantology fits within a wider, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Dr. Vish Anand

Dr. Vish Anand is a highly experienced dentist and medical doctor, having qualified in Dentistry in 1988 and Medicine in 1997 from King's College Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry. With over 20 years of experience in dental implantology, he is a respected implant clinician, educator, and lecturer. Dr. Anand has extensive surgical training across multiple specialties and has taught implant dentistry at institutions including the University of Warwick, BPP University, and GIFT. He remains committed to advancing dental education while providing high-quality implant care.
