Course Overview

Dental implantation is a widely accepted procedure for replacing missing teeth, and with rising patient demand, structured, high-quality training is essential. This hands-on course equips dental professionals with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for safe, competent implant placement.

The programme is delivered across six weekend modules in the UK, each pairing structured academic teaching with a dedicated hands-on practical or workshop component. This is followed by a 7-day immersive clinical training programme in India, giving participants direct, supervised experience on live patients. Please enquire with the Academy for current module and clinical immersion dates.

An optional CBCT Level 1 & 2 module is available as Module Six, providing the radiographic interpretation skills required for safe implant practice.

Who Should Attend

Registered dental professionals seeking a structured, accredited pathway into implant dentistry, from first principles through to live-patient placement.

Dentists who wish to add implant treatment planning and delivery to their practice, supported by supervised clinical experience.

Clinicians who want a course that combines theory, simulated hands-on practice, and genuine surgical case exposure, rather than theory alone.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Understand the anatomical, biological and pharmacological foundations of implant therapy, including socket healing and osseointegration.

Apply structured case assessment, digital treatment planning, and drilling-sequence protocols to real cases.

Correctly manage consent, documentation, and record-keeping in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

Recognise, prevent and manage complications, including peri-implantitis, using SAC classification to guide case selection.

Interpret radiographic and CBCT findings relevant to implant planning and pre-surgical assessment.

Plan and deliver prosthodontic solutions, comparing implant-supported and conventional fixed prostheses.

Independently place dental implants and perform soft/hard tissue grafting under expert supervision on live patients.
